Just listened to Linkin Park's newest album, "A Thousand Suns." My comment: WHAT. THE. FUCK!?!? Not bad music, in fact quite good, but it sounded nothing like Linkin Park. Sure, their debut album and Meteora had different sounds, they're one of those groups that every song is different from the others (though on the lower end of that scale), but the songs usually have a distinct quality that makes you say, "Yup, that's Linkin Park." But in "A Thousand Suns," I could barely even recognize the singers' voices! And when did Linkin Park have female vocals? The music style, the essence of Linkin Park, wasn't there. "A Thousand Suns" is as different from their debut album and Meteora as Guns N Roses is from System of a Down. I applaud them for experimenting, and it *is* good music, but still... I still feel disappointed. After all, I was expecting Linkin Park flavor and got something completely different. It's like drinking what you think is iced tea and it turns out to be soda - both are good, but when you're expecting tea, surprise soda is very jarring.1

1 = This tea/soda thing has actually happened to me before.
